Job Description
La Marqueza Mexican Tacos and Market is seeking a motivated and skilled Cook to join our team. The Cook will prepare and cook traditional Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chiles rellenos, pozole, and soups. This position is ideal for someone passionate about authentic cuisine and delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Duties:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Assist with daily prep, ingredient portioning, and inventory rotation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff and support junior team members.
Follow all FoodSafe and workplace safety guidelines.
Ensure food leaving the kitchen meets quality and portion standards.
Skills & Competencies
Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and organized in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling best practices.
Qualifications
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
